Meet Norm Hann

Norm discovered the sport of stand up paddleboarding in 2008. He knew that the paddleboard was going to be an incredible way to intimately experience coastlines around the world, and wanted to facilitate experiences for people that would move them and challenge their way of thinking. From there, Norm Hann Expeditions was born. Norm is currently a certified Paddle Canada Instructor.

Norm brings his lifetime of coaching, teaching and expedition guiding experience to every tour. His goal is to help you become a better paddler while providing the opportunity to build your own connections with wild and remote paddling destinations and cultures.

“I do it out of my passion for the ocean and the coastlines, for the powerful connection between people and our environment, to be able to facilitate the experience and growth for others.”

You’re in good company

“Possibly the best multi-day paddling experience of my life… Being able to learn coastal navigation skills with a guide as knowledgeable as Norm was an experience that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else.”

-Hunter Sones, 2017

“The knowledge/ education shared by Norm and rest of the crew was amazing! The sea life is outstanding and so proud and honoured to be able to share this experience with this crew and plan to keep learning on my SUP! I can’t recommend this experience enough to all!”

-Tina Currie, 2017
