Tour Reviews
Great trip out onto the Howe Sound. Water was nice and calm in the early morning. Fantastic scenery and managed to see a few otters, eagles and some other birds. Norm was a great guide. Would recommend this trip!
What a great morning we just spent checking out Howe Sound with Tina! The three of us all learned how to paddle better and more efficiently, making this trip (and future ones – Belize in Feb) easier and more fun! We will be doing that again soon! Tina, you were fabulous! You really took the time to help each of us address problems with our paddling, leaving us all feeling much more confident and comfortable on the water. Thanks!
Spent a glorious sunny morning on calm waters with Tina and two other lovely paddlers. Although I had paddled many times in the past, Tina gave me so many tips on how to paddle more effectively, which in turn made the trip even more enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of Howe Sound and Squamish while being immersed in its beauty and serenity. We saw many seals in the waters as well as watched a group of sea otters frolic and play. Pure heaven! Thank you so much Tina…..hope to see you again next year when I return.
It was the first time that any of us had ever tried paddle boarding and we had a fantastic time out on the water with Tina. Tina was a knowledgeable and attentive guide and I knew from the first few minutes that we were in good hands. Tina ensured that we all had an enjoyable experience even with a range of different abilities within our group. The weather and conditions were amazing and we were lucky enough to observe some of the marine life. The morning we spent paddle boarding was one of the most memorable experiences throughout our whole journey through Canada. Thank you Tina for such a fantastic morning on the water!
We took a tour with Tina in early August and could not be more impressed with how friendly and knowledgeable about the area she was! The whole group we were with had a great morning and we learned quite a bit about the area while paddling. It’s always obvious when someone loves what they’re teaching and it rubs off on everyone else to make the experience enjoyable for everyone, and that could not be more true about Tina. We would highly recommend trying one of the SUP tours!
Wow, what an incredible way to end my first trip to Squamish! Tina was incredibly knowledgeable about all the wildlife we saw, which included sea lions jumping and barking at us, a seal bobbing out of the water close enough I could have petted it with my paddle and a really pretty mink swimming right by our boards and scrambling up the cliffs as we paddled along them. I learned all about the different currents in play as we toured the harbour towards Howe Sound, the history of the area and how there has been a return of wildlife to the area which is great to hear. Tina finished the tour with a really fun lesson on downwinding as we returned back to the beach. Thank you!
What an amazing and unique way to spend a Sunday morning. The scenery was beautiful: mountain views, rock formations, estuaries, sea-lions, and otters. Tina is extremely knowledgeable!
From local history to paddling techniques, terrain, winds, currents and ocean safety we covered it! Thank you, Tina.
I couldn’t have wished for a better way to spend my birthday. Absolutely stunning scenery, friendly group, and super cute seals all around. Wonderful Tina showed us some secret spots, explained the history of the area and gave us some great tips on improving our paddle experience. Thank you for an incredible and fun tour!
Both Norm and Tina were able to accommodate my last minute plans which I so appreciated. As soon as I saw Howe Sound I knew I had to paddle it.
Tina is so professional and knowledgeable there’s much to learn from her on the water.
If you get the chance head out on the water with this company you won’t regret it. The memories and photos you take home are priceless in comparison to a store souvenir.
What a faaaaabulous way to celebrate a double birthday!!!!
Tina, Kevin & Eduardo are amazing guides. We learned, we laughed, we experienced an EPIC west coast adventure! The team is super professional, fun, encouraging, and stoked to champion each guest with an amazing experience! Gracias!!!!! We will be back for sure! Can’t wait to hear about a family tour. My kidlets would love to experience this!
Went out this morning with Tina (Happy Birthday) and Jennifer as guides. It was a fantastic paddle up blind inlet and around the sound across the estuary. I am not a confident paddle boarder, but Tina and Jennifer were extremely helpful, keeping an eye out for each of us, and teaching us how to improve (and how to get back on the board if you fall off). The scenery is incomparable- seals feasting on fish that were jumping all around us as we glided up along the west wall of the inlet. Such a perfect morning- thank you!
This was the highlight of a two week vacation in BC. Tina is an amazing teacher – able to handle the different skill levels of our group from novice to experienced paddle boarder and my 15 year old had as much fun as his parents. We learned so much about the history and wildlife as well as paddleboarding skills, highly recommend this to all.
My friend was raving about Tina and the training provided at Howe sound. She was great with giving us amazing pointers about reading wind and tide and literally showing us how back eddy’s are created, navigation skills – I.e. paddle in a zig zag to paddle straight and minimizing effort as much as possible in windy conditions, and new stroke tips. Would definitely go on more paddling trips and hopefully future expeditions with Norm Hann tours. Their knowledge was astounding.
I finally had the opportunity to join one of Tina’s tours I’ve heard so much about. Even while paddling local waters in Metro Vancouver I’d met experienced paddlers who had raved about the Norm Hann training and tours. Tina went above and beyond for us tailoring the tour for our group, demoing numerous boards, teaching efficient paddle techniques and sharing her knowledge and expertise of the Squamish lands and waters of Howe Sound. These waters can be so tricky to navigate but you’ll be in great hands with Tina Currie! Be prepared to be on the water early, and have fun!
